It was another incredible year of providing support and opportunities to those in our community and we couldn't do it without you! Here are some highlights from 2022.
June:
Barista Employment Training Program
We are proud to have partnered with FareStart. This summer, Gifts of Hope gave 12 young adults (ages 16-24 years old) the opportunity to be part of the Barista Employment Training Program. Many of us held back tears as we viewed all 12 young adults graduate from the program. We are honored to be partners!
Juneteenth:Family Reunion
We held our first Juneteenth event this year. It was great to recognize and celebrate the rich history of the holiday by highlighting contributions made by African Americans in the U.S. Thank you to the community and our vendors for coming out to support this important event.
August:
GOH Back to School Event
We had such a fabulous group of volunteers this year. There were community volunteers, 20 local teens who received a stipend, volunteers from the Boys & Girls Club, McDonalds, Boeing, SPS Teachers, Hertz, Lighthouse, FOC Groups, Uhaul and more. We had a total of 61 volunteers. Thank you all for your dedication!
Together, with the support of your partners, we distributed over 2,000 backpacks!
October:
Harvest Party at the Rainier Beach Tiny House Village

November:
Kraken Tickets for Community Members
Gifts of Hope would like to thank the Seattle Kraken Community Programs for their ticket donations. We had quite a few friends and families of GOH who were able to attend a game!
December:
Christmas Adopt-a-Family Program
This year, Gifts of Hope received a Neighborhood Matching Fund Grant to help us put on a Christmas Community Celebration alongside our longstanding Christmas Adopt-a-Family Program.
With your generosity, we were able to provide gifts for over 700 families across Washington state.
We are so grateful to Toys for Tots who donated over 600 toys and bikes and to the Moore Wright Group for donating over 500 toys so Gifts of Hope could distribute them to individuals to expand the number of families we were able to help this Christmas.
