THIS IS A SAFE PLACE

I cannot rise unless I extend my hand to my sister so that we can rise together. Though, we may be different. We are the same. What makes us the same? We are sisters! Let us walk this journey together and learn from each other. Let us rise together and leave no sister behind as we share our stories and resources.

"I am a woman wonderfully molded and shaped and destined for greatness. Life lessons have taught me. Lessons learned have sought me. The love of life has bought me. I'm sold out to love. Love of self. Love of of my sisters. I am wonderfully made. We are wonderfully made. Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can inspire our daughters and sons. Together, we shall stand with 100% confidence in all that we do. Why, you might ask? Because we are women wonderfully molded and shaped and destined for greatness."

Breaking The Silence

EVERY 73 SECONDS,
AN AMERICAN IS SEXUALLY ASSAULTED.

Sexual violence affects hundreds of thousands of Americans each year. While we’re making progress — the number of assaults has fallen by more than half since 1993 — even today, only 5 out of every 1,000 rapists will end up in prison.

IDENTIFY

Identifying the problem is key. No forms of abuse are acceptable. Abuse is a behavior used by a person to hurt another person mentally, physically, sexually or verbally.

As you identify the problem, you are placing your feet on the right path. You will begin down a path that won't be easy but it's a must in order to heal yourself. We support you!

BreakING the silence

Once you identify the problem, you must edify by "Breaking The Silence". Exposing the truth. The truth can be exposed in many ways such as confiding in a trusted friend, seeking counseling, calling one of the above hotlines or calling 911.

Exposing the truth will free you. Keeping the truth within will hold you hostage. It's important to break the silence. Breaking the silence is step #2 in the healing process. You are on the right track!

HOPE DWELLS WITHIN

Acknowledge the feelings you may have within. Hope is the feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. Hope dwells in all of us. Abuse can sometimes skew our view and desire to overcome.

Never lose hope. It's important to visualize your outcome and walk forward with confidence. The road may not easy but journey will become one of greatness. You are here for a purpose!

Although, the road ahead appears dim or dark.  You must applaud yourself for identifying the abuse. To identify, sheds light in the midst of a dark place. You may cry. You may kick. You may scream.

But, no matter what...it is important for you to keep on walking. Place your hand over your heart and feel the beat of your heart. That means that you have purpose and you are still breathing and still standing.
